Quartz Stone diamond tools
Engineered quartz is mostly silica held in a resin binder. The resin softens at the cutting face and smears, which glazes a bond that works fine on granite. We run a formulation that stays open: FX547-51 for calibrating, Fickert blocks 36# to 800# for finish. Coolant flow matters more here than on stone.
