Marble cuts easily but chips, and calcite veins change hardness inside a single block. The risk is the surface, not tool wear. Our 1.8 mm ultra-thin gang saw strip removes roughly 40% less kerf than a 3.0 mm segment on the same pass, so more of the block leaves as slab.
